Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and (if you sign in with Google or Apple) the basic profile they share.
• Recipient & delivery details — the name, phone number, address, and delivery date for the people you send gifts to.
• Order information — the items you buy, gift messages, order history, and delivery photos.
• Payment information — processed by our payment providers (Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your full card number on our servers.
• Device & usage data — basic technical information needed to operate the app, such as device type and push-notification tokens.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in.
• To process and deliver your orders, and to send delivery photos as proof.
• To send order confirmations, receipts, and delivery updates by email, SMS, or push notification.
• To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
• To detect and prevent fraud and keep the service secure.

Sharing your information

We share information only as needed to run the service: with our delivery team in Kabul and Herat to fulfil orders, with payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) to take payment, and with infrastructure providers (hosting, email, SMS, push). We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can delete your account at any time (see below).

Your rights & account deletion

You can access or update your information from your profile. You can permanently delete your account — and the personal data tied to it — directly in the app (Profile → Delete my account) or on the web from your account menu. Where you have past orders, we anonymize records we must retain for financial and legal reasons instead of deleting them outright. You can also email us at support@golandgift.com to request deletion.

Children

Gol & Gift is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
